For me, painting is a celebration and recording of the pleasure our senses bring to daily life. Functioning as both cause and effect, the act of painting requires me to regularly explore my memories while constantly honing my sensory experience of daily life.  

Consistently attracted to fresh produce in whatever form it takes; I always find myself renewed by just-picked flowers, vegetables from the garden, new ideas, babies, or even the latest novel. It’s in this arena that I often discover aesthetic convergences of line, color, pattern, and form in everyday – yet unexpected places. These images – my own freshest produce -- connect with a deep reservoir of memories about growing up in Nashville, Tennessee and produce a full array of positive emotions: delight, awe, gratitude, and serenity.
